# The Conservatory > A producer's ear you can use in a browser: upload a track and get a producer's read — tempo, key, > the chord loop written as Roman numerals with its cadence, the groove, the structure, and the mix > (LUFS, width, brightness, low end). Free, no account. Optionally (email) get the stems, MIDI per > stem, and a NEW track composed in the same musical DNA bent to your instruction ("10 bpm faster, > more orchestral"), audited by the same ear and provenance-sealed. ## What it does - Reads audio you hold: tempo/beat grid, key (with runner-up), chords → Roman numerals → the repeating loop and how it ends (authentic / half / plagal / deceptive), groove cell + swing, sections, mix metrics. - Deep tier: source separation (drums / bass / other / vocals) + audio→MIDI per stem, importable in FL Studio, Ableton, Logic. - Collab tier: composes a new, theory-verified track from the heard DNA + your intent, renders the pitched parts through real sampled instruments (kit synthesized), masters to -16 LUFS (the achieved figure is reported), audits itself by listening back, and issues a verifiable record (/verify/). ## What it does NOT do (on purpose) - No vocals, no "sound like ", no copying or extending a copyrighted recording. Analyse what you hold; the collab output is your new work. - Every value is an estimate from audio and is labelled as one. It never claims a track is "transcendent" — that is the listener's. ## Engines (all license-clean; attributions at /licenses) Demucs (MIT) · basic-pitch (Apache-2.0) · librosa (ISC) · music21 (BSD-3) · FluidR3 GM SoundFont (MIT) · learned drum grammar from the Groove MIDI Dataset (CC BY 4.0) · plus the first-party Bonis Systems theory verifier, composer, groove, mix and mastering code (ITU-R BS.1770 loudness). Real sampled instruments render the pitched parts; the kit is synthesized. Your audio never leaves this service — no third-party AI API sees it. ## Pages - https://conservatory-719697980755.us-central1.run.app/ — the tool - https://conservatory-719697980755.us-central1.run.app/api/read — POST multipart `file` → JSON producer's read - https://conservatory-719697980755.us-central1.run.app/api/handback — POST multipart `file` + `email` (+ `intent`) → ZIP Made by Bonis Systems.
